Our Tribe of 3 Will Now be 4!

Our Tribe of 3 Will Now be 4 #1It’s so exciting, and overwhelming as we begin to transition into a new family of 4. OH MY! It’s crazy to say, and then even crazier to put onto paper…or should I say onto a blog.

My whole life I imagined myself being a Mama. I imagined a house full of children actually.  But never can you prepare for the amount of work it entails.  All the cheesy sayings however are true.  “It’s the greatest gift”, “Nothing can compare”, “You never know true love until you have a child”. Yes, these things are true! HOWEVER, it does NOT make it any easier.  There are sleepless nights. There are moments of total confusion. There are times you do just go into a room by yourself (like Charlotte does on that Sex and the City episode) and just ball your eyes out.  And then just when you feel like you get your groove back everything changes.

Im not here to tell you it’s great, or its hard, or you can or cannot do it. Im not here to say what I say is right.  I am simply here to share my experiences with you in hopes of making it just a tiny bit easier for you Mamas wanting to live your best, most comfortable, authentic, holistic life.  I am here to tell you, you don’t HAVE to give up being you! You CAN make mistakes.  You are going to win some and you are going to lose some of the battles. There are sooooooo many of them!

The choices are endless when you become a parent. What belly cream should I use? DO I NEED BELLY CREAM? Prenatal vitamins? I think there are 7 million brands! How do I choose a crib vs a bassinet vs co-sleeping? Can I dye my hair while I am pregnant? What sheets do I buy? Are they organic? Should I eat fish? What do I store by milk in if need be? Do I need a doula? What the hell is a doula? This is just the beginning of the questions you are faced with. And OMG there are so many companies out there pushing products down your throat! UGH !

I hope my suggestions, which are purely that, a suggestion, something I have found to work for myself, help to guide you in the right direction. It does not necessarily mean it will work for you. What I can do is provide my feedback on products, remedies and ideas as a natural holistic mother that aims to provide all natural products and remedies for my family.  Im not here to bash companies but I will tell you that there are some things out there that they do sell for babies, toddlers and children that are not safe.  That is not to scare you. It is to simply help to educate you to question what you put into, on and around you and your family and your home.  The best advice I can give you as a Mama is to follow your heart! You know what is best for your family.
